speaking of a re-design…

Wow how funny that just last week I blogged about redesigning…it turns out that the Gap re-designed their logo and have gotten nothing but heat from it!

The classic Gap logo was changed to this….cleaner looking logo which seems to scream CHEAP!  One blogger said that it makes Old Navy look like a luxury brand!

AdWeek thinks that the redesign is a publicity scam because Gap is now launching a “show us your redesign” campaign on their facebook saying, “We’ve had the same logo for 20+ years, and this is just one of the things we’re changing. We know this logo created a lot of buzz and we’re thrilled to see passionate debates unfolding! So much so we’re asking you to share your designs. We love our version, but we’d like to see other ideas.”

  1. I think this is a great re design. It is very difficult to change such a well known brand logo like Gap. However, I think you did a great job with it.

    • Oh I didn’t re-design this, it’s just an article I found about Gap who redesigned the logo themselves!
